Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me…” 
At Shabbona Riverside Church we invite the entire family to remain in service. However, we understand that little ones can get restless. So a toddler room and baby room are available for a family member to take their child and still hear the message.
Also, at Shabbona we seek to be a place where kids learn and are treated like they are made in the image of God and have the potential to BELIEVE in Jesus and LOVE God. Therefore, we provide a fun, educational experience for children (and youth) where they can learn and grow in their faith. This intentional time of learning takes place after service in a safe environment within age appropriate classes.
Sunday School for Kids & Youth
Kids
After Sunday Morning Worship, all kids ages 3-14 come together for Kid’s Church with the Pastor prior to going to age appropriate classes. Ages 3 years through sixth grade learn to shape their Belief in God through bible lessons and creative activities that encourage scripture memorization and hands-on learning. Kids in this age group are separated into a couple of different classes where they can learn and grow with others at their age level.
Youth & Young Adults
Teens and Youth Adults expand their knowledge of the Bible and formulate a Christian worldview as they learn together. Emphasis is placed on reading the Bible, praying, discussing the importance of making wise choices, trusting God no matter what, and treating others the way they want to be treated.
